small dog energy is a Brighton-born brand creating dog lover merch inspired by tiny dog culture and Y2K nostalgia. It is made for anyone who has ever been underestimated because they looked cute.
Where it started
It started with Baby, my Chihuahua. Anyone who has loved a small dog knows the precious kind of presence they have. They are affectionate, intelligent, fiercely loyal and sometimes chaotic. They take up very little physical space and an enormous amount of emotional space.
Baby made me appreciate the contradiction of being sweet but formidable, tiny but impossible to ignore. Her spirit is at the heart of small dog energy.

Losing Baby in 2026 was the catalyst for creating small dog energy. It gave me a way to channel my love for her and my passion for this community into something creative, honouring her memory and carrying a little of her spirit forward.
In 2018, I founded Brighton Chihuahua Club, bringing dogs and their people together. That community became part of the story behind small dog energy.
Merch I wanted to wear
I could find plenty of gifts for dog lovers, but struggled to find merch I’d actually want to wear. I wanted something stylish that reflected how much I loved my dogs and still felt like me. That’s the gap I saw, and it shaped the kind of merch I wanted small dog energy to make.
